GUILD PRESIDENTS FORUM ON GOVERNANCE (GPFOG)

Good Governance is National Development for all.

Guild Presidents Forum on Governance (GPFOG) is a youth and women centered non- profit organisation founded by former University Guild leaders in 2014 with the main objective of empowering youth and women to promote good governance practices in Uganda.

Who We Are

GPFOG has been championing the youth drive in advocating for good governance in Uganda for key areas such as natural resources, education and human rights. We have created a nationwide informed youth network of over 10,000 young men and women with passion of seeing a developed Uganda. Through partnerships, GPFOG has  implemented several youth and women empowerment projects that have so far created many leaders as change agents in society. 

We have involved various private, government and civil society organisations in our activities to see that our vision, mission and core objective are achieved.

We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.

An effective and informed nation-wide youth network that advocates for good governance.
MISSION
To strengthen the civic competence of the youth and women in order to enable them play an effective role in governance and development.
CORE OBJECTIVE
To promote good governance in Uganda for nationwide development.

ADVOCACY

We are the voice of the voiceless. Nature does not speak, so we do.
In the various advocacy campaigns that we have been involved in as youth with partner organisations especially in the oil sector, the results yielded have been tremendous,laws,policies and regulations have been created, human rights abuses have been brought to the lime light and some addressed, above all the government,private sector and  civil society have realised the role youth and women can play in the development of Uganda.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

At GPFOG we believe in involving the communities in our works. This is the best way development will be induced with empowered communities. GPFOG focuses on ensuring that communities understand their role in environment management, good education and human rights protection for the attainment of Sustainable development.

RESEARCH ,EDUCATION & OUTREACH

GPFOG is building a strong network of youth and women researchers who can provide solutions to the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through research solutions are educated to the youth and women masses through outreaches, debates and forums.
